Welcome to the Sarah Hilt Foundation
Sarah contracted meningococcal disease in 2004. She lost her legs, her left arm and all the fingers and thumb on her right hand. The disease resulted in severe skin loss requiring multiple skin grafts and reconstuctive surgeries. Sarah suffered kidney failure and received a kidney transplant from her dad in 2008.
Sarah is determined to overcome the significant challenges that meningococcal disease has thrown her way. With the support of the Sarah Hilt Foundation she has graduated with first class honours and represented Australia in Swimming. Read more about Sarah's story here.
The purpose of the Sarah Hilt Foundation is to raise funds to provide financial assistance to Sarah Hilt and other victims of Meningococcal Disease.
